«Good infrastructure is by definition invisible,» bringen Star und Lampland auf den Punkt, «part of the background for other kinds of work. It is ready to-hand.»
Infrastruktur an sich ist nichts Aufregendes. Aber es gibt eben auch nichts Aufregendes ohne Infrastruktur. Um solche Selbstverständlichkeiten ins Gedächtnis zu rufen, müssen uns manchmal verstopfte Abflüsse, Schlag- und Funklöcher von den gewohnten, ‘other kinds of work’ ablenken.
